I have a big delema now. If my car is reparable, I will have doubts about the symetry of the chassis. The front seems a little floaty now even though suspension damage isn't noticable. I think I will sell my car once it is fixed. I am also releived that I paid off my car.

Do you think I can bribe the collision shop to saying my car is totaled? The chassis IS bent after all.

UPDATE:
I took my car to Golden State Collision Center in Roseville and they said [from what they can SEE] its going to cost about $7,500 to fix it. HOLY CRAP! Later that day I talked to her Insurance investigator but he didn't give me a "$" yet. He did tell me that if the cost to fix it is over 75% of the car's worth, they would consider it totaled. He also said that they look at the car individualy, meaning they wouldn't give me Blue Book value, thay would give me what THEY think its worth.

They're not going to total it? Money from totalling a car is usually MUCH better than what you could ever trade it in, or even sell it for.

I have:
Cusco front/rear strut bars
whiteline adj. swaybar with endlinks
Kartboy shifter/bushing/****
Cobb stainless cat-back

I am going to remove all of this before I take it to the shop. Then I'm selling it. I will sell the aftermarket stuff individually and sell the car in stock form.

basically, you need to get your *** over to that shop, and replace all those parts with stockers, because if they total your car, they won't let you anywhere near it. trust me on this one. bribe the shop manager if you have to, just do it.

I have not yet dropped the car off. I have an appointment but its not untill the 17th. So now I have to drive it around untill then.
The insurance guy and shop guy both have already seen my car so its not like I can smash it even more to make sure its totaled.

I didn't say you should try to flip the thing, I said to take all the aftermarket parts off and replace them with anything you can find. If you post saying you need stock parts to replace them with, people will have your back, I guarantee it.

But ideally, you have all the stock isht in your garage or something.

The only items I can replace with stock are the exhaust and shifter. I tossed the stock sway bar. Some people are very stupid to just dump their stock exhaust system. Those factory cats can be turned in for a rebate.

how do you get $$ for those things?

and you should post and get a stock RSB from someone, so you can at least sell that whiteline bar and links for $$. every bit helps, trust me.

you should also take those strut bars off if you haven't already.

it's up to you, i'm just trying to help. you can tell me to STFU if you want.
