Wow, what a great response. Thank you to all those who replied. I am indeed going to UC Hastings.

So if I have this right:

Potrero is out unless I have parking. Richmond is sktechy without parking. Sunset has ample parking.

I risk my car (lowered, bbk, rims) without a garage/off street parking. Potrero > Richmond > Sunset - worst to best?

Mass transit to school then?

Where is Hunters Point, I can't find it on Craig's List.

I am not opposed to living in the burbs, would prefer it. But I have no idea where/how to get to school, and I have little time to figure it out.

Any things else I should know before I go rent a place?

Thanks again.

Faizi

Also if anyone has the time and/or desire, I will buy lunch and drive for a brief tour of the city.

Sunset would be good for your car. There are alot of modded imports parked on the streets. Sunset is also good if you like a lot of quiet time. Great place to stay and study.

Also, if you can, transfer to USF Law School I work at the law library there

Where in sunset are you at? Are you the blue wrx I see sometimes driving on Noriega near ocean beach? Modded wrx with raised stock spoiler?

The Sunset has more car theft than the Richmond, from what I have seen/heard.

best way is to rent an apartment with an garage.

you might wanna try renting in southern hill (the border of san francisco and daly city). Around that area there are a lot of two car garage homes. you might beable to rent an apartment for $800 plus garage will be around $1000 or less. good luck.

Well, I live on Potrero Hill and love it. There's plenty of street parking, it's quiet, never foggy and easy access to freeways (I commute to Milpitas). Sunset/Richmond are nice quiet neighborhoods, but they get much more fog than any other part of the city.

And I too love driving in the city... requires more skill!
