I just saw a trailer for the film "The Box", which is about this box with a button on it that when you push it you are awarded 1,000,000 dollars instantly, but there's a catch. If you do push the button, a random person somewhere on earth will die because of it. For every million you take, a person somewhere on earth will die.

The reason I start a thread about this is because in high school (10th grade) I wrote a short story for my creative writing class about the same thing! Same idea and story line, only mine was about 15 pages long and this is a full feature film, so I'm curious to see how the film compares to my original idea. Watch, my teacher took my paper and sold it to hollywood, lol! It's actually not a very original idea and I'm sure some of you have thought about something like that at some point in your lives. (for creative writing or whatever).

Has anyone seen this? It doesn't look very good but I want to watch it for the reason posted above. If anyone has seen it, what did you think about it? Worth the $10 and 2 hours of life spent?

 

I believe that was an episode of the Twilight Zone as well. Might have been the 80's remake series, but I remember it.

 

Sorry, I thought this movie was going to be about something else entirely.

Old premise, don't see how it would translate into a full feature film.
