Thumbs up Mountain Bikers

Who mountain bikes? Im trying to get back into it, i stopped a few years ago ever since i graduated HS.

My downhill is a hardtail Specialized P3 w/triple crowns and all the other heavy parts used for Whistler and Mammoth
My urban trials bike is a kona stuff cuz it weighs like 25 lbs.

ive always ridden UCSC trails and thats all, so maybe someone can get me going again, i always see DH bikes coming out of stevens creek, and on top of 9 and 35.

so if anyone would let me in on some cool spots or meets in the Southbay that would be COOL

Unhappy

Everytime I see a thread on this, I always say I'm going back into it but it never happens.
It's been a few years here too. I have an old-school "17 Specialized Hardrock with old school RST fork, Panaracer Fire XC Pro wheels,etc.etc.

Same here but my friends and I kinda started a month ago and we ride either Skeggs Pt (on 35 between 92 & 84) or Lake Chabot in Castro Valley. Just a 12 mile loop on Saturday mornings at 8 or 9am. I ride a Santa Cruz Superlight/XTR parts/hayes disc brakes. You're all welcome to join us. There's a couple of noobies in our group too so it's kinda nice that we can take it easy until we get stronger...Skeggs Pt is one of my favorite place to ride in the Bay Area...tons of single track.

I used to do Lake Chabot too. Best part I liked was the long downhill !
There was another trail I rode a few times (I think it was an Open Space Preserve) somewhere off the 92 and Skyline. I forget the name but it was mostly firetrails.

You're probably talking about Purisima trail...

We're going to do Skeggs this Saturday since we got rained out over the weekend. I'll post up a thread or reply on this one so we can all get together. This is the best time to join since we're all just getting back in the saddle

Car Info: this required information?
I used to but haven't in a while since Northstar closed there summer activities this year. Once in a while I'll go on the local trail for a cross country ride to stay in shape.

Anyone have any news on Northstar, like if they are going to come back with there downhill trails again next summer?
