Uh, I don't get it, so what's wrong with it? Don't you want to lift the rear end so there is more force in front where the driven wheels are?

It's a courtesy wing too. It's used to block out the sunlight during the day from people driving behind them. I mean, those damned sun visors in our cars can only do so much.
