More Help....sac directions

Ok..here is the deal. I have to drive to sacramento airport today. I have to be there by 7:50...was gonna leave around 5 today.

here are the directions I have from milpitas

680 North (19.3miles)
580 west (0.3 miles)
680 North (40.6 miles)
80 East (29.2 miles)
113 North (11.1 miles)

E Main Street (.5 miles)
1-5 south (8.2 miles)
airport blvd follow signs.

Now I have been told to stay of the 80.

Wouldn't it be faster to go......
680 north
84 through livermore
580-205-5 all the way into the airport?

Just wondering? This is pretty urgent...I'm out of here about quarter after 1 so if anyone can help me I would be very greatful.

I'd do:

680 north
84 through livermore
580-205-5 all the way into the airport

Kinda of iffy regarding traffic around the two lane area of Tracy though...

after that it would be a straight shot and there's hardly ever any traffic on I-5

that's what I thought...that's pretty much how I get up to arnold....sept I do the 120/99/4 isht.

Crazy yahoo maps. I guess they give you the shortest...not always the easiest or fastest route.

But it came out to about 111 miles and just under 2 hours. You think I might still be able to pull off 2 hours leaving at 5pm...

Tough call.

Are you picking someone up from the airport? If so, can they wait 30minutes with a magazine?

If you're catching a flight then you better have a lead foot and a sharp eye for cops.

goodluck.

yeah picking a couple people up. Then we're driving to redding.

I can keep a good pace and have a great eye for cops...plus I am in a wagon so that helps some. I figure I can do 80 most of the time.

They land at 7:30...said they will be ready around 7:50.

So freakin bummed...my car was suppose to have a new stereo and tv/etc...but you can see my other thread for that sob story..haaa. such a whiner, eh. Haa.

thanks for the tips.

I think I'll go my way and head strait up the 5...better than dealing with the 80 which I hear is a parking lot during commute hours.
