Actually yes, not in the sense that someone is dead and another murder pegs in the hood. But as reported, and who knows what other deets are not out as of yet to disprove or further the story; to me sounds like selfdefense.
These dudes tried to rob someone and got dealt with. So let this be an example for the rest of the dumbasses running around Fruitvale/Jingle and the whole east. Not everyone is going to be scared of you when you are trying to jack them.

I'm just curious: all of you saying that the guy got what he deserved... do you really believe that? Is death really a justified punishment for robbery?
Just to be clear, I'm not questioning the right to defend yourself, so don't take my question that way.

our legal system blows if this guy gets compinsation for his son dying. His son was a loser and got what he deserves if he does crap like that. Props to the east coast guy.

Live by the knife die by the knife, sucks the victim has to live with the trauma of killing a man.Even in self defense I'm sure he will haunted by this for some time.
He did not deserve to die for a robbery but, he died while robbing someone. So his father's claim that he wants someone to pay is incorrect. I hope that guy who accidently stabbed him does not get nailed for it.

From the info in the article (although we don't know if he stabbed the guy repeatedly or what) but it does actually sound like self defense.

he put himself in that situation, that's the risk he took for trying to rob someone, and breaking laws at the same time.
If more people realized that there could be death from them robbing people, then I bet we would have less robberies

This will be all I'm saying as I'm trying to stay away from politics on this forum and this is close to my drawn line.
When you and an accomplice put a knife to someones throat and threaten to shoot them, then yes, I believe your death is justified.
You have to be an anti-gun Democrat in the Senate, or donate a few million to your local chief of police. Otherwise, Oakland, CCW permit......HA.
