Money order process?
Buying some parts off a guy here on iclub and he has maxed out his paypal account so how do you do a money order? I have never done one before. So used to charging it on paypal or cutting checks. Thanks guys for the info.

walk into a bank and buy one. Some time 7-11 does it too! Or post office or your local credit union. call around before you go, some are more expensive and some are cheaper.

I think they only do cashiers checks at banks, right? Money orders you can get at 7-11. They usually cost a buck there, and cashiers checks are $4 - $7 usually.

I use Safeway, It's cheap. You give them cash and they give you a money order, money order is the same as cash. I think there is a limit for money orders $1000 or $10,000 something like that. Don't use a bank, they are expensive.

From a bank you get a 'bank check'
From the post office and other places you get 'money orders'
You must use cash, they will not accept checks, as the resulting money order, cashier's check, or bank check is literally as good as cash. It's a more guaranteed form of payment than a personal check.
If he will accept a bank check and you have a decent bank, getting one from your own bank should be FREE, and they will remove the funds directly from your checking or savings account. I am allowed one or two FREE a month at my bank (credit union). Often this is most convenient, since you don't have to carry around a huge wad of cash from your bank to wherever you get the money order

actually in banks up to a certain amount give you "personal money orders" then after their limit for personal money orders they issue a cashiers check...all banks are different.
For money orders the limit per money order is anywhere from $500 to $1000, depending on where you are buying the money order from.
Money orders have to be paid with by cash, sometimes a debit card will be excepted.
On most money orders (travelers express/western union) The "pay to" portion is left blank and you hand write who you want it made out to, just like a check.
