Wink

Most of the peeps not throwing them back these days also tend to look like this...

..so of course they have no idea about the culture. *Admit it, they grew up in some midwest place, scored high enough to get into a great school, did their internship(s) and then got hired into some big S.F. Bay Area company with an overly gracious salary and crap job that burns them out so they leave in around two years to only be replaced by an exact same cloned version who buys the next model out.

Cool for us, we get to buy used at hopefully a great price when they decide to move back home.

*Apologies to our longstanding Geeky IT Peeps here. Admit it thoh, you know I'se right.

When you own one of these or drive one regularly, it automatically purges you of any "car enthusiast" in your system.

I think there's something in the Camry/Corolla culture that subliminally dares all owners to push the lower limits of legal driving.

Anyone would be afraid of driving fast if they were in a ****box camry.

I got a cement wall that I took down in a Camry that says otherwise.

Builds like this make me miss my boo.

THAT is not the norm though. 99.99% of all Camrys are driven by people who would rather be doing something other than driving.

LOL that's me sitting in our datacenter. I never get waved at! I've waved at Hide many times but I don't think he's ever seen me!!

Okay that's not really me, but throw on some tardo-office-wear and it could be I guess. I grew up in Hawaii, though. I got into Subies because I helped my father rebuild them in the 80's/90's and then was issued a '98 Impreza Turbo 2000 Wagon as a company car when I moved to England for a while. Got hooked on WRC, came back home and ordered my '03 Sedan.

It's so funny though, I usually give a thumbs-up if I see a kickass Subie out there. Sometimes I wave just like a reaction, get the "wut-duhh" stare or the creeped out person at a stop light and just sort of act like I was looking at my hand or something. Herm. Doop tee dooo.

My reference was to what subaru looks similar to this, esp the taillights.

True true lol. I remember some news story on the Camry, describing their buyers as not looking for cars but appliances.

Yup

Lets take a poll... You're coming up to a red light and there are two lanes; a Camry and a WRX. Who do you get behind?

WRX for sure, unless I just washed my car and he's catless!

The beauty of a sleeper there haha

That car I linked was actually for sale a few months back. Too bad it was in Washington, and went quick.
