Modding PS3

Had the PS3 for a while now, been buying games, but they just cost an arm and a leg considering that there just aren't too much games out yet that I want to buy so I am good for now.

Here is the question. Does anyone have the ps3 and modded it already? Was just wondering how it works do you need to burn the files as a blu-ray disk? How reliable is the mod.

Thanks

I don't think this would be a very affordable mod - considering a blu-ray disc itself holds 5x as much as a standard DVD. On top of that, the disc itself is about $10-20 a pop... and the writer is around $500 or more.

the ps3 has has USB hook ups but they dont work in the games, what you need is a converter to assign keys into the controller inputs, if you were really ambitious you could take apart a controller and hardwire all the inputs into a keyboard/mouse, but Im not smart enough
