Mod friendly suby dealer in the bayaera??

I was thinking of a turbo back exhaust and a cobb axcessprt. I just don't want them to void my warranty since my pops made me get the 100k warranty. I have around 3k miles on my 06 sti. I really don't think I beat on my car. I just autox around 1 or 2 times a month.

For most dealerships, the only mod you can get away with would be a catback exhaust. It does depend on the dealership though. When I asked Diablo Subaru they said you couldn't modify anything. Your best bet will be santa cruz for minor mods, but there is no way any dealership will let you have a tbe + em and keep your warranty.

And make sure they take your car out for a test drive after they install it

A turbo back exhaust system is probably not going to be smog legal (I could be wrong- maybe there are some CARB approved ones, but I haven't heard of any) so I don't think you'll find any dealer service departments in the state that are that "mod friendly"

If you are really keen on modding, cash in the warranty - or accept it won't get honoured. If you are just wanting mild mods, maybe catback + suspension would be enough fun and won't void the bulk of the warranty.

a DP install is pretty quick and you can flash the stock map with the AP. So just reinstall your stocker and flash the stock map before you take it in for any warranty claims

haha, livermore is a crappy subaru dealership, but they didn't void my powertrain warranty after seeing auto-x times (oops) in my cabin. They just told me "a word of the wise, most dealerships will void your warranty if they see those"

Thing is, I accept that my warranty should be voided, with a VF-35, TBE, em, etc in the power mod department...

if you have the 100k warranty and want to keep it, avoid difficult R&R mods.

The Accessport may be the best mod you'll get away with.
