Mobil 1 extended performance is gone?

So i went in to Wally world and Orielly tonight to look for my oil (5w-30) and the guys at orielly told me there was a recall or they were discontinuing it or something. I found the quart containers but i couldn't find the 5qrts, anyone know something about this?

Also does anyone buy the bulk of oem oil filters? Where do you get it? From dealership or online?

Mobil 1 isn't that great you're better off with something else.

Oreillys stopped carrying it a while ago but we didn't hear any reason for it. Also as far as people hating on m1, it's true regular m1 sucks but their ep stuff is completely different. Somethig like a true ester base or somethig.

+1 for mobil 1, neither of my sti's or wrx have burned oil on it so I figure if you are adding oil often you should rethink bagging on mobil 1. The extended life is poop, the regular synth is the way to go.

He drives an Outback Sport. If there's no turbo, M1 is usually fine.

I don't know how much OEM filters are, but look into WIX or Napa Golds. They have one that meets the OEM bypass valve PSI (main complaint about any other filter).

Yeah no turbo, but I've noticed that I've been burning oil on ep more than the regular mobil 1. I haven't really tried any other oils so far so i guess ill try something else to see if its the oil or my engine itself
