Question Mini Cooper, need inputs..

Hi! My girlfriend wants to buy a mini cooper.
I like the car in general (cooper-s) but I am not familiar on the car's reliability, safety, etc...
I just want to know more about the car if its worth getting. and were would be the best place to get it.
TIA

The MC/MCS is really a great car. The regular MC is about 130 HP, which for most people enough. Unbelieveable handling. No, its not as nice as a BMW, but its $20K!

I very nearly bought a MCS rather than my WRX - certainly is nicer inside than the WRX (even than the 05). Reliability ratings have been good, safety marks are good. Totally a good car for the money.

the factory supercharged one is nice the most common thing i hear about them is alot of rattling and interior problems shorty after buying them...that and their incredible suspension.

Second post evAR.

So my girlfriend bought a Cooper S recently as well. Be prepared to pay markup or wait for a long time. Those cars are in high demand still.

And I agree with everything said, overall it's a great car. Handles well. Some rattling. Kind of small, but that's part of the appeal. It sounds pretty good too.

actually i test drove a mini s, with the supercharger, and (anyone who lives in santa rosa knows) behind the automall there is a long road with a big turn around at the end. i took it down that and gun'd the car through a u-turn in the turn around. and that thing held soo well. it was like being on a pivot.

and the crash tests for the little things are actually pretty good from what i hear.

I work for BMW and Mini the car has all the BMW safety features along with electronics.
if you keep it stock it will be pretty reliable, like everyone has said already its a great handling car they can be tracked with stock suspension and do extremely well.
maintenance is kinda high like BMW so if she gets one i would get the extended maintenance package and extended warranty if she plans on keeping it for a long time its well worth the money.

mini of mountain view or mini of san francisco
your wait is going to depend on the option package you want just drop by and talk with a sales person they will give you all the details you need.
at Mini of mountain view you can talk with ben eufame.
it doesn't help to throw names out to get a better deal on the car cus they are very popular but tell ben Rob from the bmw dealer refered you and he should treat you well.
