Method 4 Motorsports Tune.

Hi all,
I am seriously thinking about having Method 4 Motorsports do an ECU tune on my 2009 stock WRX. I talked with Sam there, and he said that:

1)
2) It will get me 20 Hp
3) It will get me better gas mileage.
4) It will cost me $800.

Does anyone have experience that they can share with these guys? Is the 20 HP AND better gas mileage legit? How much better gas mileage?

Thanks
Randy

Method distributes my maps and tunes. I can tell you that the 20whp/30ft-lb gain, better gas mileage, much better response, and much smoother drivability are all real and accurate claims. On top of that, the tuned ECU will run much safer because we adjust the open loop switchover which causes a dangerous lean condition in the stock ECU.

That being said, I have no control of any warranty issues, that's completely up to Method and Steven's Creek.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the map or tune itself.

Thanks
-- Ed

talk to them to see if you can have ed custom tune your car w/o voiding the warranty, since they are using his maps anyway.

Wait, is $800 M4M's price, or is that EQ's new price?

Sounds like he buying an AccessPort + tune = $800.

Sounds fair, but is there any tuning specific to your vehicle being done, or is this an "OTS+" type map? If its the latter, I'd buy the AP and go see Ed for a vehicle specific tune. Or go see him for a vehicle specific OpenSource tune.

That's not my pricing, I have no control over Method's pricing.

Thanks

No AP is included, this is an EQ Flash map or tune.

Again, Method sets their own pricing on these maps.

Thanks
