Hey all I have an 08 fozie and am looking to do a quick mesh grille mod and get rid of that stock grille. Also its so I can mount my hella lights behind it.

Basically does anyone have a mesh grille or the material or know of a place where I can get this material asap since I need to do this ASAP before I drive up in Humboldt.

Thanx what did you to to adhere the guard to the grille frame? Or hey would you he down to help me. I live in SJ I can pay either in Beer meal or money if you want 😜

 

I used RTV, so far its held up great. You bend the mesh over the sides and then just press in RTV to hold the connection. To be honest, cutting out the original mesh was a real pita, besides that its pretty easy. I have a ton of gutter guard left you can have for free. I'm in Sac and don't mind helping you out if you're in my area, but ill expect you to do most the work.

 

Thanx but Im in SJ unless you want to mail it the drive is kinda far but seriously thanx for the offer. Did you just use a dremel and sand it down/ plasti dip after to get the original grill off?

 

It's dirt cheap at Home Depot. I think I used a dremmel with a cutting wheel...and gloss black spray paint.

 

I did an aluminum mesh grill on my wife's Tacoma with hella 500ff lights behind it. I still have extra mesh and I'm in San Jose. Pm me your number. I'll text ya. I'd be happy to help.
