I thin I'll be saving up for one of those AFFF ones. $112 isnt really that much to protect your car or help someone else out on the side of the road.

and yes, I'd look like a ricer with it strapped somewhere inside the car, but its worth it to save my car

+1

i had to call dibs on the seat to be insensitive.

halon engine fire supression system would good. some planes use this system. it works very well but you need to be knowledgable of it because you could kill yourself with it because it sucks up the O2.

Halon and FM200 are awesome for fighting fires while keeping equipment intact (this is why they are used in any major intarweb datacenter worth its beans). The problem is you just don't wanna be near it while it's being used. This is sorta hard in a vehicluar environment unless you have a full fire supression system piped to the engine bay.

I bought a set of fire extinguishers from Costco for the garage and the kitchen, they are too big for the car but I recommend everyone have an extinguisher in the garage. They are for A,B and C class fires. I have a Kidde extinguisher that fits in the spare tire and doesn't push up on the particle board. It's aslo for A,B and C class

I made my own version of this Brey-Krause bracket in stainless steel. It mounts to the seat track and the extinguisher sits right at the passenger's feet. It's out of the way and safe, yet easily reachable in an emergency.

Huck is sizzling, that's why he needs a fire extinguisher. It's not really for his car. What a liar!

Huck,
I bought my fire extinguisher from Ken Meyers at http://www.ioportracing.com/ in Lafayette back in 2000. It was permanently secured to the floor just in front of the driver's seat in my Honda.
