, there was a huge investigation on that accident and it was determined not to be my fault, I was driving straight and the guy pulled out in front of me and I ran right into him. His insurance company paid me the $12K my car was worth + plus another $5K to "settle"TIA yourself

dude!!!! You wrecked your MOM's car coming out of your school parking lot where all your buddies could see you....that's no good man.
So here's what I am gonna say...get as pissed as you like but I"m not flaming or attacking..I'm talking generally using you as a reference.
both cases(accidents) where results of you overdriving your skills and experience. As well as having overconfidence in your skills and experience.
Everyone does it. And generally speaking everyone does/did it...A LOT more frequently when they were teenagers.
personally I'd be happy that you're getting it out of your system now while you have your folks help and room to learn. And you should be happy you're getting knocked for youth not being completely retarded. Look how many WRX/STI/EVO's are getting wrecked by older guys that think they are bad *** drivers and no all...but some how they roll their cars because of a deer when they're going 20mph? Right. Try driving like a retard and can handle the car.
So no worries man.
When I was 16 I drove a car off the road and over some bushes and around a tree and nearly killed 4 people. My "skills" and a bunch of luck saved our asses but my teenage stupidity got us into the mess in the first place.
At 20 I nearly went head on with a volvo at 115 mph on my way to LA because of youthful stupidity.
We age...we learn. We get better "skills" or abilities and most of all we get wiser in the decisions we make....least that they um....idea anyways.
Plus...this will help your parents get you on the track. Track time will be good for you. It's good for anyone that plans to drive high performance cars. It'll be mucho good for me and I've had racing in my family since I was born.

But when are we gonna get one designed for subaru/audi folks. AWD.
it's a completely different beast and I'd love some advanced instructions from someone that knows AWD and isn't gonna put me into a wall.
