Do we just want to meet up at Lick, or meet elsewhere and drive up together?

I'm debating whether I should bring my telescope or not... It's so damn big and a PITA to assemble. (and weighs like 200lbs)

it says 13:22 UT for p4 which evaluates to 5:30 am. to if we go there around 3:30 we should get plenty of time to set up.

there are area's east of livermore/east of the lab that are very dark.
this is the spot i went http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=e...5269&z=14&om=1

but you can go further down the roads a bit to patterson pass, and goto the place where they call it the "windy spot" at the top of the hill before it starts going downhill. there is a spot to pull over and park, but it's pretty windy up there

there is also a meteor shower the 13th with about 100 or more an hour http://www.space.com/spacewatch/mete...wers_2007.html
Sweet man that's nice which camera did you use and the shutter speed used. I will be using d200 with remote shutter cord to eliminate camera shake. I am going to see if i can get a VR nikor lense (expensive may be not.) .
