Looking for a good alignment that I don't have to finance.

I just replaced my steering rack and need an alignment. I've researched several local shops and called all of them for estimates. They range from $80 to $250. I want a good alignment but there's no way in hell I'm paying $250 to align my wheels. Does anyone have a shop they can recommend that knows Subarus, does good work, and doesn't charge an insane amount?

Auto Innovations or Roger Kraus Racing are pretty much two of the most recommended shops for alignments I've seen here on i-Club.

I have no personal experience with Roger Kraus Racing, but I pretty much ONLY take my car to Auto Innovations now. They do quality work and will align it to your specs.

Auto Innovations in Milpitas is good. I bring my civic and sti there all the time for any tire/alignment job. I think they charge 60-65 on stock suspension and 100 if you're on coilovers.

Also, here is a listing of the other shops that were recommended the last time someone asked regarding alignments.

Wow, thanks for the quick responses guys! Does anyone have experience with Sonic Motorsports? They are close by which is a big plus and I believe his price was $150. I'm lowered on STI struts and Prodrive springs, no coilovers though. My problem is after installing the new rack along with the Whiteline RCA kit, my alignment is WAY off, so I need to take it somewhere close to Mountain View where the car is now.

Never been there.

But with your set up any decent shop should be able to do what you want. I paid less than $200 for a life time alignment through firestone. Don't recommend it unless you're willing to jump through hoops to get custom specs.
But it's worked out great for me.

But with your set up it really should not be $250 to do it. No camber plates. Nothing crazy. Straight forward.

Custom Alignment is in Mountain View

I wouldn't let Firestone align a tricycle

Also on the Auto Innovations bandwagon. I've gotten a bunch of alignments, a few sets of tires, and a set of wheels from them. Great guys.

Ive got a lifetime with Firestone, but I've also got a hookup there who I just text the specs I want instead of dealing with their BS.

Which one do you go to? I used to have a dude in fremont that hooked me up but I don't drive over there much anymore.

I get mine done in Watsonville and I'm yet to have an issue but I'd love to find someone local to Salinas that knew what was up.

So far I've had very little issues. I generally just go in and ask them to "check" my alignment. When they come bak with the numbers I just tell them how to adjust them. They're always where I want em when I'm done.

I've had alignments at quite a few other places as well. Including AI.
