Lookin For Locals
Hey-
I'm looking for some locals around the Folsom area. Or anybody else up the hill. I'd like to stay out of Sacramento, because I hate traffic. I'm looking for people who would like to go beat up some back roads in the hills. Some of my friends have honda's and nissan's, but there no fun. So if anyone is interested-- Please Reply

not local, but....
Last summer my wife and I took her anemic Golf 2.0 up to Loon Lake, up off of Ice House Road.......man I wish I had my WRX! Except that my mother in law was in the back seat demanding that I slow down.
Share some of your roads up there.........tell us about all the cool ones.
I used to live in Plumas Natl Forest in Quincy about 10 yr ago......had some good rides up there, on road and off (getting good drifts in my Vanagon pn Quincy-LaPorte road!!)
have fun man,

Mosquito road is pretty fun. I work for the Forest Service and I've gotten to know the roads pretty well. In fact most of the forest roads are paved and there are some awesome roads out there. Mormon Emigrant trail, which is a road that connects HWY 50 and HWY 88 is another great road. It has plenty of turns and some straight aways that you can really hit the limiter. HWY 49 up around Georgetown is also fun. Once the damn sun comes back out (if it every does again?) makes the trip out to shanadoa valley a nice road. My bro's and I like to make a day out of it and stop by some of the vineyards, and then eat dinner at Sequoia which is a pretty ritzy restaurant but great food. I just enjoy driving my car period whether it be backing it down the driveway, or taking a 30 mph turn at 55
It's all the same to me, I love my WRX. There are hundreds of great roads just within a 50 mile radius so -yea if anyone is interested let me know

I think I have camped at some tiny pond off of that road....Finnon Lake?
Yes if it is the same road, I remember it was challenging (in an old VW MIcrobus).

Mosquito road/ Moquito ridge road- same in my mind-
If the weather does not co-opperate, which it won't, a great road is out towards the coast off HWY 1. Cazadero Highway will give any car/bike a challenge- even a small bus driver-
But seriously I've been driving all these Nor Cal roads for a while and I have all the good ones GPS'ed. Everyone has there own beliefs and I'm just sharing mine.
