Look what my lovely sister bought for me!

I have the best sister in the world, she spoils me like the baby brother that I am (LMAO)

It was my bday a few days ago and I got this, the "Flip Video" camera.

I've been wanting a small digital video camera for ages now, just never got around to getting one. I want something small and very simple so I can take it to the range with me, keep it in my car in case I need to tape something, etc... I know it's not some super high end video camera, but its all I want and need and the perfect size! Yay! I'm so happy!

I'll make little mini movies for BAIC.

You know what's GREAT!? I've ALWAYS wanted to tape a MT. HAMILTON run in my car and now I can with this little guy! It'll be so easy to mount it anywhere. By anywhere, I mean I can mount it onto a RIFLE!!!

Sorry for the crazyness of the thread, I'm just super excited (if you know what I mean)

I highly recommend this puppy for my BAIC friends. It works great.

(also, it connects via USB to your computer and transfers automatically into whichever ext you want. It comes with an A/V cord so you can connect directly to your TV. Takes two AA batteries and will shoot over 3 hours on those batteries and shoots 1 hour of footage ,

This is one of the coolest toy Ive ever received! (Okay, one of the coolest).

w00t w00t! (I've been recording EVERYTHING! )

Not sure about the res, but it's pretty good considering. It plugs into my 38" TV and plays a full size image and the quality of the image is nice. The only drawback is sound from a long distance. Sound is good when you're close, like 10 feet, but after that it fades.

It also has zoom on it. Nothing great, but is enough for this camera.

Batteries last 3 hours.

hmmm... sounds like a pretty good price as well... something you won't cry over much if you loose it or break it when you are on the road... I should look into this...

Happy belated bday, btw.

Thanks, and w3rd.

I hate bringing a real camcorder anywhere with me because of it's size, all of its features, buttons, etc... You're always afraid you'll break them, get stuff inside the buttons and crap, and worst of all, it's expensive as hell and you're worried about breaking it!

The Flip Video cures all that... Its sturdy as hell, no moving parts, and pretty damn rugged for people like us. (I'm mounting it onto an "assault rifle" for gods sake!)

w00t!

Just got mine as a present for the wife 3 days ago and it is awesome...thanks for recommendation Daniel.

This thing is so light and small and either lets you store as an MPG, WMV or AVI, or you can post a free link so anybody with an email connection can view the movie...

I've been taking it to the beach, out in my car, took it to a baby shower at work etc... Half the size of an ipod and 60 minutes record time on a single charge...

Great little device
