I had some friends who've done that, but instead of a spider it was a scorpion I think. They also tried to get the snake high by hot boxing the cage. Just goes to show how dumb some high school guys can be....

I haven't seen any scorpions yet, but I have seen 4 rattlers, a bobcat, a fox, 4 coyotes, countless deer outside and around my house. Inside my house I have had spiders, millipedes and mice.

Well at least you guys aren't freeze-drying the black widows, grinding them up and smoking them.

A good friend of mine as a baby ball python called Billy. He also has a lap dog. I told him in a few years his dog is gonna look more and more apitizing to his snake. Heck if he gets tired of paying his dogs vet bills...SNACK TIME FOR BILLY.
Could you imagine having to dislocate your jaw everytime you wanted to eat?
I bet there would be less fat kids and Mcdonalds wouldn't be as profitable.

haha... I still have my ball python, but the boa in those pics was sold a year or two ago. I was looking at more snakes today at the store.. they had a Reticulated Python.. not sure I think pet stores should be selling those, but it's a free market I guess. They are badass for sure, but what do you do when they hit 10 feet, then 15, then 20?

Ball Pythons usually only hit 4-5 feet at fill size. There are some that have gone bigger, but those are rare. They stay pretty small as far as pythons go, that's one reason they are so popular as pets. Also, they look 'pretty' and generally have a very mellow temperment.

Retics get HUGE (one of the largest snakes in the world),and are know for being quite nasty
