whiteline corrected the "popping out" and revised all them.

6gun is not in business anymore

zero sports are nice but impossible to get <-- normally

the zero sports would also be overkill for your setup and cost 3x more

*I stock the whiteline kit

So just to be sure I'm getting this right -- you guys (LiC) are working on a kit that would allow a regular WRX to run the 05+ STI bearings? Since 6gun is defunct, I've been trying to figure out what it would take to do this myself, and so far I have that the 05 STI knuckle needs to be shaved and re-drilled for the WRX-style strut clevis, and there needs to be a tone ring adapter collar to place the axle/ABS sensor correctly (and then you need to figure out how to mount the 5x100 wheel on a 5x114 hub, but that's another story...)

I may be reading into your posts a bit too much here... Let me know if I am!

My one concern here is that if you are doing a full-race part, it's going to be $$$, or at least a lot more $ than the 6gun kit (which was, admittedly, quite well priced).

P.S. -- Hi chimchimm5!

to answer acurately, our full race kit will be very very expensive

I would recommend reading the review on the 6gun kit over on nasioc.

yes you are correct about the ABS ring, 04 vs. 05 knuckles. Again our kit will be for full race applications, unlike anything most have seen...........for a subaru anyways

FromageTheDog, I'm running the 6Gun kit on my 04 STi. I think I paid around $800 for the kit. It was some of the best money I have spent on my car. No wheel bearing issues since I installed the kit. I have done many many track days since the install. One tow home from Thunderhill is aprox $650. Your assesment of what work needs to be done is right on. The hubs need to be re drilled to a 5x100 bolt pattern with new studs pressed in. Or you could sell your 5x100 wheels and buy 5x114's. But then again you would have to convert the rears also. But that might be less than getting the front hubs redrilled. There are some people, Turn in Concepts or Kartboy or someone like that looking into making the kit again. I think liability is the main issue with re-drilling the hub to 5x100. Hope some of this info helps.

Noah -- thanks for the response. I've read the reviews and feedback on the 6gun kit and would have jumped on it were it still available. Being still a grad student, I'm not able to afford any exotic solutions, cool as they may be!

Well, if it came to it, Rota makes a dual-drilled rim, which would solve the mixed 5x100 5x114 issue, though ideally I would still prefer the re-drilled hub. Buying new knuckles and taking them to a machine shop to be worked over also doesn't sound too bad.

The main sticking point is that adapter collar. Aside from a "it's about 5mm thick" comment on NASIOC, which just isn't terribly helpful, I haven't come across any details.

Anyone have any accurate dimensions here, by any chance...?

LIC – any word on production for the ABS adapter ring? Interest on "that other forum" seems to be heating up again...

So Noah,

With my swift springs, should I be running a bump steer kit? that is one thing I did not put in. Also what about the "anti lift" kit?
