So I'm a big fan of Linkin Park and just bought Minutes to Midnight today and was a bit surprised. I heard it was going to be a different sound, but I didn't think it would be so different. I don't think it's bad and I know it will grow on me... but it doesn't sound much like Hybrid Theory or Meteora. It's cool they have more of a variety of music I guess.

What do you think of the new cd if you've heard it?

I havent been impressed with what i have heard off it.

Too much Autotune, and not enough hard work.

 

yeah it came out today, it just doesnt sound as aggressive... you know what i mean? it sounds melancholy or sad... or just not upbeat lol

Has linkin park ever done an upbeat song? They're great when you're pissed off or feeling like dirt, but for doing the happy dance? not so much.

 

um.. ill give it a cool 4 considering their last album was a good 9

thats not how i meant upbeat... as in the music motivates you... you can drive to it, it has a quick rhythm...

 

prefer the old LP much more. too much hair spray and makeup with them now.

picked it up today
and only liked 3 songs..
pretty disappointed for the amount of hype that was put into it

im thoroughly disappointed, it sounds nothing like their other albums but not in a good way.
