sure just depends on what your definition of street legal is!
are they registered and insured, you bet.
now if you get a "pop your hood" well i think a lot of us might have an issue, as a matter of fact peruse the BAIC and all the state reffed cars...something as silly as a BOV is worthy of state ref these days.
*the RS passes smog easily everytime..its never an issue. now the STi, that will never be reregistered, its a race car now and should be used as such.

I hear ya man and totally agree, when threads get this long...its impossible to go all over hunting for little details like that.
Yes we are thinking dyno in the future (as of this moment, its not a necessity to us...our focus is on customer service and we can handle everything here and the associate shops we work with. We will also be looking into/getting an alignment rack, scale pads, tire and wheel balancer, and a few other goodies).
yes we were originally going to do november the 22nd. then I threw out the 23rd as another possible day, then I just left it up in the air...as I got tied up with the shop move, etc...
I'm still pondering which day. As I see EQ is now doing his grand opening on the 22nd. Not sure how that would work for the folks if we did ours on that saturday or sunday...its a lot for folks to do and I'm not really interested in folks choosing which shop to go to (not my agenda and I dont care to be in the middle of people picking one vs. the other). So I'm sure I will delay our gathering or do ours earlier and let Ed have his day since he already announced it. So tentatively we are now thinking November the 15th
I should know in the next few days. I will have this shop almost 100% organized and ready to roll by tomorrow evening, then I can sit back and think a little more clearly about things.
I will announce it soon.

I hope you know full well that there was no malice behind my announcement or date selection. In fact I specifically discussed it with you before posting anything to make sure I wasn't stepping on anyone's toes. I don't want to divide the community at all and I even offered you first pick (saturday or sunday) so that people could go to both events. I also explained why that was the only weekend that fits into our schedule. You and I both know full well that this was not something out of the blue and certainly not a surprise to you at all.
You guys have been good friends for a long time and I have no interest in changing that. That's exactly why I contacted you as soon as I heard that you may be thinking about having your opening on the same weekend as we were planning for. I tried my best to make it work for both of us and was under the impression that we came to a peaceful agreement with no surprises on either side.
Thanks

As expressed yesterday, I had mentioned to do what you need to do on your end and would expect nothing less. Its not your job to monitor what LIC is doing; your (anyone in general) success takes precedence.
I never stated that I was "Surprised" or that it came out of the "blue", although when you IM'd me I felt that way (only b/c I was expecting you to ask if we had a specific part in stock and not ask about when we would have our BBQ thingy) but again none of that matters... Folks have asked me if we still planned to have a gathering that same day or Sunday and I simply responded with an honest answer, which was "EQ has announced they will be holding there Opening on November 22nd", therefore I'd rather not try to make it a chaotic weekend for all and just step aside from us “potentially” doing it that weekend, let you guys have your day and we will do ours another weekend (either before or after). And let’s be real if I wanted to do it on that Saturday, is it really fair to say its LIC's day? That answer is NO.
We all need to do what we need to do for our own reasons and agenda's, I completely understand that weekend is the only weekend that works for you...
