I can answer this having done many Honda swaps....the answer is no, well maybe....no because no jdm motor is CARB-legal. The only way it could be is if the swap was done then taken to someone at CARB who really does'nt care for their job.

1. all the smog stuff hooked up.
2. documentation from a dealer that you have a usdm ecu.
3. you are actually using that ecu.
4. take it to a smog ref.
then you can pass a jdm motor. Should work for subaru too.
