So let me re-phrase the question. Does anyone have any experience with a LOCAL shop that can provide and install a polycarbonate windshield?

hey I thought you sold your GC project car to cesar?

anyhow might want to hit up mike at GST, think they were going to use a poly windshield at one point. FYI though your probably going to be better off with a glass windshield, lexan/poly is fine for side windows but doesnt hold up well at all or for very long. probably why during their extensive stripping down to 2300lbs with full cage they decided to allow the few extra pounds to keep a glass windshield

Good luck with the project!

agreed. any shop (even non-subaru ones) that race probably know of a decent vendor.

Yes there is a lot of non-relevant stuff that comes up- but a google search turns up several outfits which- if they couldn't source it directly I'd wager a call to one or more of them would get you what you are looking for here are just 2;

I'd also second the suggestion to talk to race shops, since Lexan windshields are not legal for street cars, you are unlikely to get much help from anyone who isn't in the race business.

I would steer clear of using lexan for the front windshield as it's hard to keep in good shape, if you don't mind changing it twice a year then go to tap plastics and buy a sheet of it for $300 and make a template it's fairly simple to do.

We run Lexan in the front right now but will be switching back to glass in the next month or so once I get the nuts up to cut one down to fit. You'll need 1/4" thick for the front if I recall.
