I freakin knew this was going to turn in to a business ad. If you want to be a vendor or run an add as a business contact the owners of the site.
As for chiropractic. Chiropractic without after care is a sham. Chiropractic without muscle conditioning is a sham.
Chiropractic is a great way to get things back in to alignment when something is seriously out of whack... aka an injury, slip disc, whatever. But it WILL go back out of shape without addressing why it's out of whack in the first place. Usually it's related to an unbalanced and/or out of shape muscle set. Hunching in your you chair because you're lazy like me. Abs stronger than your back. etc. If you don't address the muscle structure chiropractic is nothing more than a stop gap.
Chiropractic is something that should be temporary. You should be getting taken care of while you work through an issue and then periodically at best to keep things going. It's like pain medicine. If you use that to solve your problems you're just making them worse.
I have a ton of respect for the profession. I've used it on many of occasions. But I find that people use it like prescription drugs and think it's more of a miracle than it is.
I go to an osteopath these days. If find that I benefit more for gentle movement and muscular realignment than getting my joints slammed around.
That's my personal opinion.

I agree about complementary care with chiropractic. I am not a specialist in exercise and rehab so until I get certified or feel comfortable in those areas I will be referring people out for anything other than basic core exercises.
Your feelings about how chiropractic should be utilized are based on an out of date theory relating chiropractic to only alignment. A more valid and current theory is called the disafferentation model. Chiropractic isn't only for injuries, it can help prevent injuries too.
There are extremely gentle options in chiropractic too. I also prefer the gentlest approach possible and only use some of the heavier adjusting if it is needed.
Thanks for sharing

OneManArmy makes a good point. Chiropractic is not miraculous.
There are a few reasons why the "miracle" perception exists. The primary reason is that chiropractic focuses on the body's ability to heal itself and merely tries to unlock that potential. Healing comes from the inside out. Contrast this with western medicine which seeks to reduce the body down to its parts and outsmart the systems of the body.
When you've been to multiple specialists who are shoving pills down your throat, recommending surgery and shrugging their shoulders it seems miraculous to get results from something so simple.

That's not a perception. That's dealing with over 20 years of back and neck injuries. Chiro did it's job on subsiding the pain and helping me get going on to other treatments but the most effective treatment for me came from osteopaths and physical therapy.
I'm glad you have been able to work through your injuries using multiple modalities. Ideally I will own a multidisciplinary practice someday where I employ professionals from many fields so as to better serve my patients.

I'll chime in here again:
Chiropractic is like any other medical procedure: It should be used to treat specific conditions and treatment should at some point end. You wouldn't see surgeon twice a week from the rest of your life...
Now that said - I will go in for "maintenance" on occasion. Usually about once per month as my neck gets super tight and it helps cause migraines.
There are a lot of shady Chiropractors out there, who basically want you to come in 2x per week forever. They help the problems but never really fix them. Sometimes because problems can't be fixed with Chiropractic.
I've fought migraines since I was 15 years old, and it took a chiropractor to fix (well, greatly reduce) them. My guy is unusually well educated (Chiropractor, Triple Board Certified Neuroligist and Nutritionist) and did a combo of Chiropractic, Spinal Decompression, Neuro-Feedback treatment and took me off Gluten to solve the problem. But at the end of 4 months, he told me to come back if I was in regular pain otherwise I was good. This is the sign of a solid Dr.
RE: this being a business add. I think that's a little unfair. I seriously doubt the OP is making any money on treatments. These are clinic hours, Those prices are set by the school and are probably offsetting costs for insurance etc.

But the whole thing read like a sales pitch. That was all I was keying in on. That's how I read it to begin with. Then I saw dollar amounts and went... great another one of these.
But you're dead right about everything else. Strangely enough gluten can be a huge contributor to head aches/migraines.

Sorry, I meant the perception that chiropractic is miraculous. I was agreeing with you that it is not because it is not.

Massage. PT. Adjustments. Etc.
As for me... I have to deal with my crap every day of my life. I just refuse to let it keep me from doing what I do. Most of my issues are my own fault at this point. Need to loose weight and get in shape.
I did avoid a neck and shoulder surgery using a combination of chiro/pt/massage and later on working with an osteopath on gentle manipulations and an inflammation reducing diet.
I have nothing against chiropractic practices. There are just a lot of money hungry quakes in the industry. I have a hard time trusting them. It's like dentists in my book. Lots of great ones. Lots of ones that will do crap that doesn't need to be done because they can.

Just thought I would bump this up. I haven't given up on my fellow Subie enthusiasts. Here is a list of pricing at the clinic.
Initial Exam: $65
Office Visit: $28
X-ray: $40 - $120 (not everybody needs x-rays)
The only insurances we currently take are Personal Injury, Workers Compensation and MediCare
I'll post up some links to the technique I specialize in soon

Haha not sure why? Medical Insurance? I wish we did since people have it and should be able to use it.
I thought I took the prices down yesterday but must have failed to save my edit.
RE: This being a business ad or sales ad
I'm a little enthusiastic and chiropractic isn't that well known or understood among the general public. What people know is usually a combination of rumors, second hand stories and gossip with very little personal experience. Now throw into the mix the large number of chiropractors who aren't exactly great at what they do and I'm fighting an uphill battle.
So come in for a limited time offer
