ok, I know it's not faster than a RX-7 TwinTurbo, but it sure will catch some Integra, Mustang, RX-8, Camaro, RSX, Celica, WRX(non-STi), Prelude, 240SX, Miata, Solstice, Sky, Boxster, Audi TT, BMW Z4, etc...

what an ***. i would expect it to. look the only car the cop "couldn't" catch was a RX-7. which is where this was posted. the numbers on my WRX are much faster

rx7 gain power like a v8, a turbo87-91 rx7 stock and then you put a turboback 3" on it will gain 53WHP. dyno proven i know subarus are good but how many WRX or even STI have you seenwith over 400whp? im not talking about magazines. Ive seen over 10 different ones. all publicly driven and non FULL track cars.

but then again if we are tlaking about stock then i guess you can say its faster. I'm an rx7 person so im bi-est but all my friends have WRX and i workon a lot of thier cars.

Look around for 400whp STis, there are quite a few and not just in mags. The effective displacement of an RX7 is 2.6l so it's better matched with the STi, also price wise puts it up there as well. I love the looks of FD rex, but always have to give my friend crap about how often his is up on jackstands in his garage.

You guessed it, rain. In a few months we'll have a little snow, but until then....rain.

rx7's aren't 2.6L they are actually 1.3 When you calulate it in that way it means it is comparable to 2.6L but it is truly a 1300cc engine.

like he said, effective displacement is a 2.6.

uhhh yeah. I used to own a 20G powered FD3s until a kid came along. Actually it's 1308cc or 654 x 2 to be more precise for the 13b-re. Also they do not gain power like a V8 as you said previously. they gain it like a highly restricted high strung small displacement motor. Because of the inherent strengths of a rotary they are capable of decent HP, but at the cost of being very problematic. Anything over BPU gets expensive pretty quick, not only in cost of upgrade, but cost of maintenance. 290-320whp is about the norm with stock turbos and yes some people have more or less than that, but that is the norm.

I took these pics in Israel. It's not turbo, but it's still pretty cool.

as long as they are visibly marked I don't care what they drive. I have no plans to try and run from the cops. Just pisses me off when they don't mark them. It's too easy to get a hold of the parts needed to make a car look like that...any car jacker could do it. I won't turn my car off for an unmarked car until I see the uniform. and even then....it's sketchy. I think they should not be allowed to use unmarked cars for traffic enforcement. for our safety and theirs.

They have 1.8l base and 2.0l GT, GT is 218hp. I saw quite a few GTs last time I was there, very few 02+ wrxs though.

It's a real GC8, and it was pretty heavily modified. The owner of the car also had a drag car that he expected to run 9's. I think it was a 10 second car before he tore it apart to change some stuff. He said he drag races it in Cyprus. He was a super nice guy and took my dad and I to his storage unit to show us his drag car and his friend's mint version 4 STi. Here's a better view of the silver one:

Edit: I'm not sure what the deal was with the Prodrive sign. I talked to the parts guy for a little bit, but didn't ask if they sold Prodrive stuff. The Suby community is pretty small, but also pretty close knit. I went to a meet and met almost all of them, they had some REALLY nice cars, but I didn't notice any Prodrive parts. Who knows...
