Last min thread before we vote on the next "Hammy" meet; Any new nominations?

We have three that I know of, however, we're cutting Del Valle off the list because its not up to par with the other two locations.

So far we have:

1. Mt Hamilton @ Joseph D. Grant park, same place that we always do it.

2. The park in Novato that Roo and others suggestion (beautiful place)

I cleared out my PM box and can't find the pics of the navato park, can someone please post them up? If you have nice shots of hammy from previous years, please post them too.

The cost to rent the locations is going to be pretty similar, only thing that sucks (and I dont know if its like this up north), but with hammy at least, we have to rent at least 2 picnic sights because one will not accommodate us all... Instead of risking anything I just rent the two sights that we need. Luckily the second sight is really cheap to rent.

I also have some questions for the North bay folks that have been to that park in Novato.

1. Electricity is ON, right? I know they have plugs, but that doesn't mean they are on... Sometimes it just takes a call to the ranger, but sometimes they dont work at all. Can you guys please find out? This is UBER important. I guess worst case scenario is we bring a generator.

2. Like mentioned earlier, renting one picnic area will accommodate all of our cars? (Looked like that wouldn't be a problem from the pics)

I think that's that, I think I covered everything else over the phone with the park dept.

One last thing, if we go with the north bay location, I'm going to need a lot of help from the north bay people... You might even have to go to Coscto to buy all the meat that we will need if we choose that route... I can get all non-perishable stuff like breads, sides, and anything else... Since you guys are close and have foresters it'd be much easier to fit massive coolers in the back of your wagons. I've moved since the last time I did hammy so I no longer have a place to put all of that meat. I'd give you the money and tell you exactly how many lbs to get (I have it down to a science).

Sorry I've lagged... I didn't want to do anything until we disqualified Del Valle (Me and Rescuer), and I wanted to call the parks dept and make sure the costs were doable and everything we ok to go.

I think thats all the last min stuff before we start voting.

PS: Don't forget to post the pics

I vote for novato for sure. I know it will be more of a pain for people.............but it would be a lot cooler than wanting to leave after an hour. Figureatively and literally

Another view of picnic tables

More picnic tables

Electricity - plenty of it!! Several different locations

Running water!!

Fire Extinguisher - handy to have along

Another shot of the open space

More (different) open space

This isn't a voting thread. He will create a Poll thread for the official choosing of this year's annual BAIC meet. Hopefully Roo, or one of the others who went to the Novato park will have the numbers to call and ask, as I do not know them, nor do I even know the park's actual name.

On a side note, I'm glad there is a for me to use if my motor explodes when I use teh NAWZ for moar power.

Wow, that novato park looks more beautiful then I remember from the last time I saw the pics.

Doesn't matter where we do it, either spot will rock. The Novato place def beats the HELL out of Quarry Lakes! Agreed or what?! And hopefully we can beat the 120 car record that quarry lakes set! hahahha (that was a joke, we normally have over 300 cars)
