Laptop question
long shot... but anyone here know how to lower dedicated video memory for a laptop with integrated graphics...
laptop has 512 megs of ram but 128 is for video...
the guy @ bestbuy showed me that u can lower it... but i dont knwo how to get to that screen again.. he did it from the desktop... any help is appec...

if he did it from windows, right click your desktop-> Properties.
Settings tab-> Advanced button.
Somewhere on one of these tabs is where it should be.

Mine can be done from the the bios on bootup on my work laptop. Are you sure the guy at best buy just didn't show you the virtual memory setting? If it isn't where mcdrama said and you can't change it in the bios then you may not be able to change it.
To change virtual memory settings right click my computer icon or go to system properties then go to advanced then to performance settings. This isn't the proper way to change it though. It should be located in the bios. If you said dedicated then it has it's own 128mb of memory and doesn't share with the system memory. A shared memory one was on my old dell where it used 8mb of my 512mb system ram.
