I'm alctually looking for a Escort Mexico to restore or a Brenda would be nice with Roger Clark flares.
And to the Stratos. I actually got to ride in one here in the Philippines. Very cool. That Ferrari Dino engine sure sounds sweet
Awesome car. One of the best rally sleepers of it's time. One of my first plastic models in the Philippines was an Alitalia Stratos, motorized,by Tamiya.
Go for it and keep us up to date !

It's not that I thinky our retarded, I just think a replica is a bad idea. If your going to build something, build something cool like a Factory Five racer, or a Ultima. But hey, don't listen to me, build your Stratos and enjoy!

Well, although I really like the FF Cobra Daytona kit (Type 65), I think the idea behind doing a Stratos kit is that the Stratos was built to rally. The others are replicas of street cars.
And there's really no question of getting an original Stratos and rallying it. Only an extremely small number were built, and I don't think anyone wants to risk totalling one of ones left. Besides, the Hawk kit is supposed to be pretty close to the original.

Yeah, I mean if i was going for just performance i'd build a caterham knockoff or an ultima or a cobra, but they are all super ***** cars, and i would feel like an idiot driving one around. The lancia is just rediculous looking enough where it almost falls into the kistch category, but it also has awesome rally heritage and can perform like a motha to boot. Plus, you see cobras from time to time - how many times do you see stratos's cruising around?
And all this talk of building one is silly right now anyway - im already 20k in debt for the WRX, so unless i become a squillionaire very soon this is all just hot air.

Who wouldn't want a car with a Ferrari Dino V6? Those things rock! Though, if we're voting for old rallye cars, I vote Ford Escort Cosworth RS, hell, I'd even take a Ford Cosworth Sierra RS!
