I was wondering if somebody here has signed for Laguna Seca HPDE on Jan 21st. i Would like to know how many suby owners are gonna be there so we can actually meet.

 

I live 10 minutes from there...so I'll try to stop by...the 21st is my birthday too, so if anyone wants to donate some monies so I can register...that'd be cool too

 

speaking of which, i believe the honda team is going to be testing there this wed. and thur.

 

I would think about going, but you know, my cars just a little too loud...

 

a little turn down pipe would relieve that problem

High performance driver education. Its a chance to drive realy fast and hard, on a track, in a non race situation. Costs around $250 for one day (will get you about an hour or so of on course time).

Read for info. Costs vary for event, usually more expensive for Laguna Seca. Instructors on hand and a very safe environment for learning at your own pace.

 

I was going to go but a friend is visiting. I think Trackmasters is running one there is a few months.

I hope I get a decent instructor this time since it's my first time at Laguna seca...I've done thousands of laps over the years on Gran Turismo but watching Jez Clarkeson on Top gear makes me think the real thing will be a lot different.

Those instructors must have a set of nads on them to step into a stangers car and start lapping a racetrack from the passenger seat...I would be bricking it!

 

yes, it's very different. the corkscrew is a lot steeper than it looks. turn 2 is a very long turn that pushes your body into your seat. turn 11 is very very blind.
