Kyle Petty doesnt like F1
Hah, okay. I didn't realize you worked for a DP race team. That's pretty cool. Which team?
Since you insisted it on calling it asscar, I just assumed it you were just another joe-schmo armchair racer deriding nascar on opinion not personal experience or fact.
Its still my opinion that nascar drivers (as a group) take too much heat from race fans around the world, because some of them can actually race.

Anybody want to guess how many people would continue to watch ASSCAR if there were no American manufacturers involved?
I'm guessing 4 people.
I'm guessing 4 people.
i dont think it's down to the manufacturers...
face it... americans are a bunch of lazy viewers.
i mean why would someone drive hours to a mountain location early morning. walk miles to get to a spot. wait a few more hours and then watch as cars fly by for a few seconds...
that's why rally never made it big in viewerships.
instead, we all want a nice arena to sit down, get meals delivered and watch hours on end, seeing cars go around in circles...
and this applies to nascar, indy, F1, etc...

Actually Robby Gordon participated in a exhibition rally event in a peugot 206 (or was it a citroen?) i thought, and he actually did quite well!

I would take bets on Nomex Ninja against MOST any NASCRAP driver out there if they shut down the Hopland Grade between Lakeport and Hopland, and put their times head to head. Them boys would get their asses handed to them so fast, they wouldn't know what the hell happened.
I'd also have to say that there are quite a few drivers that would kick their asses very easily in the technical twisties on a CLOSED ROAD.
