ya think...???

its a bit more than an aerosync (unpainted), but cheaper than an aqua. and neither of those get you a flush-fit look. i think its a nicely priced ALTERNATIVE to what's already out there.

excuse me for the noob question, but if water gets in through the vent, will anything under the hood get damaged by the rain?

It will be just fine, think about how much water is tossed up there just during driving... or going through a puddle. etc.
