KS Tech Hood Scoop Delete...

...on Wingless and Scoopless STi.

(mods: if i'm in the wrong place...sorry...pls move if you see fit)

i found this this piece on nasioc. received mine yesterday and immediately installed it. like matt (guy that makes them) says, literaly takes about 1/2 hour. the fit is excellent. just make sure you use all your hardware and tighten the corners...but i would say do it slowly.

another note, matt's customer service is EXCELLENT. matt pm'd me about an issue with the paint finish which HE was not satisfied with, was completely upfront and honest, gave options, sent me his phone numbers, and was just a pleasure to work with and speak to over the phone. if youre interested in one, i suggest you pm matt aka "knucklesplitter" over at nasioc.

anyway, here's what it looks like on my aspen white STi. please excuse the decals. theyre for SubieFest, and will be removed SOON after...except the hood...i like that one...

thanks again to matt for getting it to me...!!!

That right there is my next mod, FMIC with Scoop Deletion...

Where did you pick it up at?

I was thinking of swapping hoods with an RS, but I like the venting idea.
Then painting the FMIC with high temp black..

yo homes, they call me sleepy

I wonder if your setup will get hot now? I always thought even if you relocate the IC you still need to scoop to cool the motor/turbo. It looks very stealthy (minus the stickers of course).

Rather interesting looking.
They could go so many routes with that.
Straight panel, panel with a mini scoop for air diversion to the turbo (chimney) etc...

thanks for the nice words.

derek worked hard to get those decals on there, with my wife and two kids in the waiting area...i'm sure driving greg mad...!!! i actually like the one on the hood the best. may keep that one on there for awhile...or ask derek to redo it in gray...

love the delete and how it flows to the rear...to a wingless trunk...

Yeah i like the look and the vent is awesome.
Question, Aero wise, would the vent suck air out or into the engine?

Nice look!
