Slapchop works, got one (there is a "As seen on TV" store in the great mall). I use it all the time for chives and garlic, saves me tons of time with the knife.

Pretty much, if you use a soft item or something like garlic you need to scrub the "blades" a little to get the residue off. But it does work, and its kind of handy when you don't want to break out the food processor for small stuff.
