Its 10:30pm on Monday night and Im sitting in a laundrymat in north Tokyo, heading back out to party in Roppongi in a few minutes, Japans been a complete mind****, jeez I dont even know where to begin. Oh yeah, Im moving to Sapporo, its been fun guys, come out and visit me sometime
Taken about 400 pics so far I gotta sort through, but heres one of a R32 GTR that I found on a car lot in Obihiro, less than 50K miles on it and still cherry. For sale for 650K yen(about $6300) got out to check it out and take the pic and a guy comes out and says its been on the lot for 2 months and he'll let me have it for 550K yen, thats ****ing old used honda civic money! you would look sad too, I grumbled all the way back to the car.

Yeah, though I wasnt even there for the rally on Sunday, the rally was not organized very well for foreign spectators. You couldnt buy or reserve tickets to any of the stages on line and could only buy them in Japan through Japanese ticket agencies. That meant I flew halfway around the world to buy tickets the day before the rally only to find out half the stages I had planned to see had already been sold out and I never even had a chance to buy tem until the day I got there so I only caught a few stages on Fri then Sat morning and spent Sat and sunday night partying in Sapporo. Which actually turned out to be one of the top five weekends partying I ever had in my life, so it wasnt all bad

remember about car prices in Japan, you have to add on a bajillion taxes on top of it, I mean, you even have to pay a tax for how much land your car covers...

Damn, that's about a $3000 drop since 2003 in the price of R32 GTR's.

Yeah, for the Japanese, Land taxes and registration fees are a killer.

Glad I was in the Military. It can run around $3000 to reregister a car for Japanese Nationals.
