Knives to be allowed on airplanes

U.S. to allow small knives to be carried onto airplanes - Yahoo! News

The TSA said effective April 25, it would allow small knives with blades that are 2.36 inches or less in length and less than 1/2 inch wide. Other items that will be allowed on board again as part of a passenger's carry-on luggage include billiard cues, ski poles, hockey sticks and lacrosse sticks.

Oh! I can't wait to see how many TSA employees will forget to read the memo and still confiscate all of those items!

Oh they will, considering they don’t know their own rules half the time.

Take laptops and tablets for example…At one point, TSA started allowing laptops to remain in bags meeting “checkpoint friendly” guidelines…as well as electronic items smaller than the standard sized laptop.

Guess what??? Frequently enough, TSA still pulls my tablet and personal and business netbooks (11.6” and 10” respectively) from “TSA sanctioned” bags to separately x-ray them...than argue with me regarding their own guidelines.
