OMG, that's horrible... You cant see much, but you can see how long she struggled with that whale and man, that had to have seemed like a lifetime. Sucks how no one could do anything to help her.

if someone had a gun with them and were seeing that, would you shoot the whale? just curious...

 

yeah, like shoot it in the tail or fin. not in the face, cause that would be mean and really hurt. tear.

 

why do they not have tranquilizer guns there for emergency purposes ... like this.

*shrugs* she knew what she was getting into. That is a KILLER WHALE not a dog, its a wild creature no mater how well "trained" they think it is.

Its sad she died, but if your going to be in range of a creature capable of ripping a seal in half with one bite/toss of the head, your asking for it to one day consider you a play toy. That, from what I have read so far, is what they think happened, that the whale was playing, and didn't understand how easy a human can be killed. In the wild they will do this kind of "horseplay" with seals and let them swim away pretty much unharmed after, however we humans are not seals.

 

If you look at the way the whale was moving around it looked more like play than a violent attack.

Wild is wild.

 

yah, youd think based on the name they would have remember that its a wild animal not a pet.

 

wouldnt have worked anyway since it would have taken several mins to feel the effects of the tranquilizer.

 

that sounds like the worst idea ever.

I am absolutely SHOCKED that a wild animal called a KILLER WHALE we took out of its natural habitat, shiped it thousands of miles away, held it captive in a pool, and forced it to do tricks for our amusement would have eventually done something like that.
