I preordered the new Red Hot Chili Peppers album on iTunes so that i could have access to presale concert tickets. iTunes was supposed to email the presale code to the people that ordered the album early but that hasn't happened.

I called ticketmaster and the lady informed me that that wasn't their problem and to have a nice day. so then i called apple's customer support and they told me that they didnt deal with iTunes support over the phone and that I should email them.

So I did, back around 3pm. I got an auto response stating that they would get to my email in a few days, by which regular ticket sales start and the entire preorder will be pointless.

well the moral of the story is apples customer service is sh*t, rant over...

well technically a preorder is when you giving them money but get jack in return for 1/2 a year.

I have done quite a bit of research and our records do not show that you did not pre-order “Stadium Arcadium” on 05/07/06 but that it was purchased on 05/09/06 when the album became available at the iTunes Music Store. Since the album was not pre-orderd I am unable to provide you with the presale ticket code.

To thank customers who pre-order certain albums, the record label may decide to include exclusive bonus materials. Sometimes, these bonus materials are not available for sale to the public who do not pre-order.

Pre-orders can be identified by the orange pre-order badge found on the album artwork.

That Itunes preorder began a month ago. There must have been a deadline but I don't remember what they said when I heard the promo on the radio.

heres an article from cnet. Did you get the video download and single song download when you paid? If so that should have been a preorder if not then you must have missed a deadline.
