just moved here, so many scoobies! looking for IT/gaming Job

I have moved here 6 weeks ago. I know the title is really random, but hey! I am trying to network a bit and I wanted to say hi!

here's my ride

I am excited about the Suby community out here. I've seen so many Impreza's and most of them waved back. it's great! Hopefully soon I will either be at a meeting or get together with someone to work on a car. I like to help random people or ask for help. That great about Minnesota Subaru club.

But anyways, I am also looking for a job in IT or gaming. Let me know if you might know someone or work somewhere related.

ciao!

Welcome aboard! Yeah we have a good community here, and people give more respect to GCs around here than just about any other model so you'll def get alot of waves from all of us. Are you originally from Minnesota?

The list of places I'd rather be is quite long, but I will admit that Minnesota isn't on it.

You might need to list your specs. I know someone from your neck of the woods, but the requirements to get into a company like those aren't too high. Nor was the living standards all that high (I believe she made 36k and got by normal and fine) which out here you want somethin around 50k =P

Welcome to Cali! Nice ride man, can't go wrong with wrb and goldies on a suby. Try out EA sports, I heard they're hiring. Not really sure which positions are open though. Good luck on the job search.

Good luck, the line to find such work is VERY LONG. I have over ten years of professional experience on doing automation for app testing (started with games) and I can't find a damn job even in the slightest... NOTHING, NADA, ZILCH.

Gaming isn't where its at. I started off making $15 and hour doing games, taught myself automation and went from $15 an hour to $70 an hour running and writing automation scripts to allow people to run tests on various machines at once and thus saving time and money by not having to have 20 people test on each machine, get it? Thats what I recommend to you... Learn automation and it will set you up. My pay increase happened so quickly! It was crazy! In the $70/hour job I worked at least 20 hours of over time each week too!!!

Too bad the company went under! Looking for more work with NO luck AT ALL
