I'm guessing you're talking about the Motorola Q.

I just set one up for one of our exec's. It is a nice phone and works well with email in our enterprise. We are running Microsoft Exchange 2003 and it syncs over the air contacts calender, and mail. One of the differences I have seen is that it will only sync every 15 minutes as aposed to the trio which could do it every five or so. For those of you totally connected this may be an issue. also get the SD card with lots of memory if you have lots of mail with attatchments. We set him up so it doesn't download the attatchment, since he looks at those on his laptop when he has a chance.
It is a solid subset from Microsoft, and hopefully since it is like pocket PC lite it will get better battery time.
With the Trios unless you went to Lyon Batteries and got the larger one it would run out of juice every day so you had to continualy have it on the charger.
The Motorola is also much lighter and smaller. I have a BlackBerry so for me the key board configuration is a bit funky but still nice. We haven't tried a blue tooth head set on it yet, but he uses a wired one and it works fine. The IE aplication set is ok, and the screen is awsome so reading emails and searching the web is much better even though the screen is smaller it has better resolution. Worth the upgrade in my opinion if you already have an older high end phone.
For those who don't need the functionality of this phone don't waste your money on it just because it looks cool. Get an upgraded pipe for your Subie instead.
