Yea it's good to focus that good energy towards your studies, knowing it'll pay off for a bigger and better future in a field you're striving for. I'm really thankful I have a home to fall back onto as well. If I didn't, my outlook towards this would be extremely stressful. Good luck on your ventures!

I just recently left my job (I know, not the same as being laid off) to help me focus more on my studies and help me find out what I want to do in life. Also, that job was so stressful...
Anyways, it's actually quite good that you're taking such an event positively. Most people would be in shock and just temporarily become pessimistic. Hope it all works out.
