Just got a $350 ticket in glendale and I've never been there!!
Ok, so maybe I cut off someone who knows a parking maid down there?
I just got a $350 handicap violation in Southern CA even though I was in Freaking Milpitas that day, and the car has NEVER been down there.
Anyone else have this happen?

That happened to me a while back. I got a parking ticket sent to me saying I was in Berkeley on a day when I had school in Orinda. I just wrote a letter telling them that I was in school and there was no way that I could have been in Berkeley. I never heard anything else about it after that, and that was like 7-8 years ago!

It has happened to me at least twice.
They send you the ticket based on the license plate that was written down. I had to send in a copy of my registration and the ticket was voided. If you don't send in the copy of the registration, then next year when you register, it is tacked on.

The color and expiration they wrote down was wrong, but when I called they said that didn't matter! I have to call back tomorrow...supposedly they are reviewing it and will let me know.
CA law is screwed on this... the only evidence required is the letter you recieve.. they don't even have to show a photocopy of the original ticket or anything!!! Man that sucks.
that happened to me about 2 years ago. parking violation in oakland. ticket said i had a white 2dr mazda while i'm driving a 4DR Suby. i sent in photos and copy of registration. never heard from oakland again

that happend to me once as well. they sent me a parking violation for down town san jose when i lived in fremont at the time and never go to down town san jose. they had the right color but the wrong make and model of the car. the funny thing was i hadn't even received the plates for my car yet and someone had stolen mine. i sent in a letter explaining this to them, had to pay for the reissuance of new plates, but the ticket was voided.
