Couldn't agree more.. Though there are some amazing things to see on the north side.. Waikiki is fun, but feels more like the bastard son of the Big Island and Vegas..

my friends and i rented mopeds and went exploring one day. we met some locals and went to a private beach. it was the private beach of a queen long time ago. It was alot cleaner than waikiki and there was a 15 feet rock wall where we can dive off of.

Leonard's Malasadas are the best! When we were there for Fete at the Shell we had like 6 boxes of malasadas....damn good stuff!

Wow! Another one! I actually grew up in El Cerrito then bought a house in El Sobrante... Funny how some people in the city don't know where that is either. Must be an East Bay thang.

Ah Greg, it's probably just an issue of availability
I can't get malasadas here in the Bay Area but I can get Krispy Kreme, you can't get Krispy Kreme on O'ahu but you can have all the malasadas you want. The grass is always greener on the other side

While I tend to agree, I am cravin' a Tex's Drive-In Malasada (it's a Kohala thing) and I have never been inside of a Krispy Kreme establishment.

So yeah. Whateva.
