I have only be selected once and Im the same age as you. I never got called in though.

 

tell them you are a law student.

 

at least you didnt get picked for jury TWICE within 5 years and each trial lasting for over 2 month each...

well jury duty is cool in some sense. you get to see what actually goes on.

i got called in once but i wasnt a citizen so i got away with it...i havnt been called again after i've become a citizen for about 2-3 years now.

 

it is. the waiting part is boring. but once in a court room you see what actually really goes on compared to tv.

I have one coming up next month. Never had to do it before.

 

i just got back from my first jury duty, and i just sat around all morning playing sukodu on my phone. whatever you like to do while on bart or a plane (gameboy, books, crosswords, ipod, etc) bring it with you and you'll be fine.

don't count on being able to use your cellphone! for example, redwood city's jury room is underground and there was no signal, though they do have free wi-fi.
