Job thread

I did a search and I found a lot of threads where people were collecting unemployment.

So I figure why not start a thread where people, who work at good places that are hiring can post up.

If you got something or know something, post up a what/where/requirements etc...contact of you got it etc...

Ok ok...my wife told me I have to get a job in January...

I have sent out 50+ applications had 4 interviews and no callbacks. Don't know whats up out here. I am tired of not working. Might try Costco or something like that until I get something in my field.

If you get a job at Costco right now it would most likely be Seasonal help for the holidays and not a full time, long term position. Though they do pay well and extra cash is a good thing.

Good for you.

EDIT: Could also use advice on asking for a new job title/raise. Been an "Intern" at an IT Office for almost 10 months and im being paid the same crap that I was when I started even though I have way more responsibilities... (my manager is troublesome (small man syndrome)).

Throw 10% of every pretax dollar you make into an investment account and it will eventually pay off when you need to take a break. I've been working since I was 12 and now I'm 38.

I was making enough on unemployment to pay my car twice a month which was around 750 for both insurance and car payment....worth it!

Technically I was making it by applying for jobs as they see that as working for a new job. I wasn't just sitting on my ***. Mainly cause my motor went out a week before I got laid off so I had to rebuild it so I could get to a new job! Now welfare is just taking money.
