I do. you got any experience? rural metro in santa clara is continuously taking applications i believe, paramedics plus in alameda county is having 2 hiring academys coming up. sffd transport just closed for emt but will take apps for medic still i believe. if not theres a bunch of bls ift companies that i know of that will hire just about anybody.
3 years+ as a vol fire fighter. Intern with San Joaquin AMR as a medic. Kind of waiting to take NREMT so I can just apply as a Medic instead. SF I already applied for.

Thanks for not reading what I previously wrote. I wrote you can find a job. I never said it would be in your field or something you want to do. Sometimes you have work a job you hate and that is outside of your field to make ends meet which means even a "High skilled IT tech/manager" might have to get off his high horse and work a service job while he locates a job in his field.
What I'm arguing is you should not be able to live the same lifestyle with the same luxuries on unemployment than you did while employed. In my opinion you should get the equivalent of a full time minimum wage worker while on unemployment. In California your employer pays into unemployment and you pay into disability which normally appears on your check as "EE Disability." Also, its generally not a good idea to have a debt liability you are unable to pay if something happens, such as being laid off.

If anybody is an auto mechanic proficient in diesel engines, San Francisco UPS has an opening.
They also have an opening for a Payroll Specialist. I believe both are full time positions.
Don't know the salaries for either position, but if it's anything like what they pay their drivers, you'll be making $100k+/year within 5 years. My guess is the mechanic positon would be similar in pay to a UPS driver.

B) Then what is their excuse for not delivering packages on time or the right location 50% of the time?!

I drive a 2.5i since I was commuting through Marin everyday for while and the WRX I had was getting too much attention. Also, I was putting a A LOT of miles on it and I didn't want to do that with a WRX or similar type of car for obvious reasons.

It's not easy work despite what you may think of the job. Late packages can be because of weather, trailers/planes arriving late, traffic, etc.
