Job Posting: FLEX / Flash Developer
Seeing if anyone is interested in this position:
Job Purpose:
To contribute to Lunexa*s web development offering by using web technologies to better visualize and understand a client*s data. Also, to develop and document best practices and methodology related to the development of visualizations, widgets, and custom applications.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Design and implement visualizations using Flash Builder 4.0 using MicroStrategy*s Visualizations SDK.
* Contribute to Lunexa*s burgeoning visualizations library for MicroStrategy.
* Seek out alternate ways to visualize data in a compelling format, regardless of web platform.
* Work with Business Development team to document possible new visualizations.
* Confirm feasibility of approach during brainstorming sessions.
* Participate in requirements gathering and design for ongoing web development projects.
Experience:
* Prior experience with data visualizations highly desired, but any design experience will be considered.
* Must have strong problem solving and analytical skills.
* Must demonstrate a willingness, interest, and aptitude to learn new technologies and skills.
* Ability to work with other departments and all levels of the company.
* Excellent follow-through and attention to detail.
Skills/Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar.
* 1-3 (or more) years of web development experience, preferably including the Flex SDK. University projects may qualify.
* Any amount of visual design experience.
* Experience with any of the following: Flash/Flex SDK/ActionScript, .NET SDK/ASP.NET, Java/JSP, Spring Framework, JavaScript Frameworks (jQuery, dojo, etc.), Eclipse IDE, Flex/Flash Builder 3/4, Visual Studio 2008/2010.
* Understanding of object-oriented analysis and design a major plus.
* Exposure to data-centric applications desired.
* Proficient with general web development processes.
* Incumbent MUST speak English fluently.
